|
Some time ago I asked chrigel what tunes Eluveitie uses in their songs.
His reply:
Concerning your question after the original names of traditional tunes we use in our songs... huh, there are many of them! I'll try to name em:
- Uis Elveti: "Dix marins sur mer" (trad. mariner-song from Brittany) and a breton Gavotte (not named)
- Lament: A trad. irish reel, but I don't know it's name
- Spirit: Breton HanterDro (not named, I think)
- Song of life: Scottish (or irish??) reel called "Tamlin"
- Tegernako: Two irish jigs - "Kid on the mountain" (only parts of it) and "Morrisons Jig"
- Dance of victory: HanterDro from Brittany (not named)
- Andro: Andro from Brittany (not named)
I found some of those in midi + sheet music but im still looking for more (I really want to be able to play andro on flute but I found like 1000 andro's and none of them is the one Eluveitie plays)
Offcourse im also looking for the tunes on Slania |

It would be great to have some tabs or notes for eluveitie tracks, old stuff and new stuff.
My ear isn't perfect, so i can't play all the tracks 100% by ear. |

I've played song of life a lot too myself, it's quite easy with guitar.
Uis Elveti is one of my favs, have tried to tab it too, but the results weren't too great. |

If you want, you can send me the Guitartabs and I (or maybe Ivo) can tell you, if they are right...
But I am too busy to write the whole tabs... _________________ *rülps* |

Tarvos too is based on a folk song but I dont know its name nor origin.
It's the same tune that Rhapsody used to make their Elnor's Magic Valley (on the "Rain of A Thousand Flames" EP). _________________ Proud owner of Slania #294 out of 500 |

Then it could be Morrisons Jig. Sounds damn similar to Tegernakô |

I can play Kid on the Mountain, Morrisons jig and Tegernako on the whistle and it begins with a modified version of Kid on the Mountain and ends with the Morrisons jig with just very little adjustments. _________________ Gili - www.rhovanionofficial.nl |

Hey Rafi, the melody of Anagantios is from Star of the County Down, right?
I'm pretty sure, because it's my favorite Irish song.
ave you recorded it with Red Shamrock by the way? I can't find any of your albums here in Greece
...by the way, what does Drucocu mean |
